I'm sure many of you have wondered how to place HTML code within your blog posts without browsers interpreting what the html was designed for. For example, writing How-To-Tutorials and wanting the code available for someone else to copy/paste.
You must encode your html. You can do it manually by replacing the following:
Replace < (i.e. less than sign) with<
Replace >(i.e. greater than sign) with>
Replace “ (i.e. quote mark) with "e;
Well this can be a nightmare when you are looking at encoding an entire template. Luckily for all of us, you can use the tool on this site to automatically encode your html.
